Both plays in Terence Rattigan’s famous double bill, Separate Tables, take place in the same hotel and involve largely the same characters. His great gift for dialogue and characterisation, his observation and understanding of the human frailty and humour, have never been more keenly displayed as in this little theatrical masterpiece.
